Le Duc de Bourgogne, La Danae, La Belle-Poule, L'Union, and L'Amphitrite logbooks, 1761-1776.

Logbooks (5 books bound in one volume) of armed vessels of the French Marine de Ponant engaged in the transportation of troops, armament, and other items to the French colonies in the West Indies and to French Guiana. The logs are of these five ships: Le Duc de Bourgogne, with the Comte de Blénac commanding (September 27, 1761-November 16, 1762); La Danae, with de Kearney commanding (February 11, 1765-August 22, 1766); La Belle-Poule, which went to French Guiana with de Kearney commanding (October 25, 1768-July 28, 1769); L'Union, with Lieutenant Darbaud commanding (October 4, 1772-April 19, 1773); and L'Amphitrite, with the Comte de Grasse commanding (April 1775-June 1776). A list of officers is given in each log except the first.
